Filled with rebetika Greek folk music, this moving drama captures the tensions in occupied Greece during WWII, as well as the forbidden love between a Jewish girl and a Christian boy. Despite the racist laws implemented by the Nazis, people can still escape the inhumanity at the local ouzeri, a small club owned by the then 28 year-old composer Vassilis Tsitsanis. As conditions worsen for the Jewish community, simple choices become life-changing decisions. Based on the book Ouzeri Tsitsanis by George Skarbardonis.
