STAND UP - ERASE THE HATE - NOT IN OUR TOWN - However one says it, it means the same thing: let's see ourselves in one another. This year's #StandUp films grapple with several different types of prejudice, including anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia and sexism. These screenings --whether dramas or documentaries-- can teach us many things: the importance of refuting stereotypes, standing up to prejudice and refusing to be a bystander. Movies can be transformative and teach us that when you speak up for others... you are speaking up for yourself as well.
