When we first meet Rivka, a rabbi in her last month of pregnancy, she is tutoring Theodore, a cantankerous 13-year-old. Her husband Simon, who has just been released from a psychiatric ward, is experiencing qualms about taking care of a baby when he can’t even take care of himself. His going on a spur-of-the-moment quest with Theodore will seriously change both of their lives. An endearing journey about one’s willingness to accept oneself.
Screening with Gefilte, a distinctly non-fishy short tale.
