Israeli Food Fusion

Thursday, March 26, 7:00 pm – CANCELED

In the film Abe, our 12 year-old-hero prepares “fusion” food for his Israeli Jewish and Palestinian Muslim grandparents, creating a cuisine that reflects both of his heritages.

Chef Aliza Grayevsky Somekh, an eighth generation Jerusalemite, will discuss Israel’s melting pot fusion lead in a hands-on prep of “dukkah,” an Egyptian spice mixture. Served in olive oil, it can be used as a dipping sauce or rub. Sign up now as space is limited.

Pre-admission: $18; At-the-door: $25.
