THE SAMUEL PROJECT

Please note the screening at the Vine Cinema, Livermore scheduled for Sunday, March 15 is canceled as of Friday, March 13. We hope to screen The Samuel Project in the summer or early fall. Already purchased tickets will be able to be used for those screenings or for another film-related event in 2021. If you have tickets for Sunday’s film(s), please email directoreastbayjewishfilm@hotmail.com.

Starring the legendary Hal Linden (Barney Miller), this endearing, family-friendly drama tells the story of Eli, a high school outsider, and his grandfather Samuel. After years of not being close, they finally connect when Eli makes Samuel the subject of his school art project—an animated movie about the older man’s early life in Europe.

Note: Suitable for middle school students through adults.

Sunday, March 1 screening is co-sponsored by Congregation B’nai Torah.

Part of International Film Series, Sunday, March 12 screening, is co-sponsored by Congregation Beth Emek, CCJCC and Tri-Valley Cultural Jews, and underwritten by Karen and Jim Holtz.
