Graced by strong performances, this superb drama is set in the years just before WWII. The life of a naive young man from a small Austrian town is changed forever after he moves to Vienna to learn a trade from a tobacconist. Soon, he will befriend Sigmund Freud, confront rising anti- Semitism, and—most importantly—refuse to be a bystander.

Screening on March 8 is underwritten by Sam Pitluck, Ph.D. & Riva Gambert in memory of Steve Hallert, Z”l.

Part of International Film Series, screening on March 15 is co-sponsored by Congregation Beth Emek, CCJCC and Tri-Valley Cultural Jews, and is underwritten by Karen and Jim Holtz.
