UNSETTLED: SEEKING REFUGE IN AMERICA

Taking place largely in the Bay Area, Unsettled is a powerful examination of the global refugee crisis from the overlooked perspective of LGBTQ asylum seekers. It follows four brave individuals from Africa and the Middle East who have fled homophobic violence sanctioned by their home countries. Fighting isolation, they share stories that form an unflinching picture of nearly insurmountable challenges.

Guest Speaker: Frederick Hertz served on the board of ORAM, the international LGBT refugee advocacy group, and sponsored Subhi Nahas, the gay Syrian refugee featured in the film.
